He is survived by his parents Robin and Patrick. His Aunt Karen of Batavia and Aunt Linda & Uncle Stephen of Naperville. Cousin's: Courtenay,Michelle & Tony. Along with Jessica, Christopher & Karley
Since age 8, he was on the swim team for the Dundee Dolphins & the Hanover Park Sailfish. He also played youth football for the Lake in the Hills/Algonquin Falcons at Jacobs High School and played for the Hanover Park Hurricanes for 5 years. In 2005, Michael was on the 130# Gold, winning Super Bowl team for the Hurricanes.
Michael attended Bartlett High School. He was on the swim team & football team and lettered in both sports all four years. He was in the graduating class of 2010.
He was attending the College of DuPage, in pursuit of a Parks and Recreation Degree. He was employed by the Hanover Park and Bartlett Park Districts, as a lifeguard. During the summer he also worked with Chicagoland Pool Management as a supervisor / lifeguard.
Michael’s passions were snowboarding, football and swimming and making music videos with his friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday December 27 from 3-9 p.m. and Wednesday December 28 from 9-11 am at Geils Funeral Home 260 West Irving Park Road, Wood Dale, IL. Services will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel , River Grove IL. Wednesday December 28 at 11:45 am.

My Deepest sympathy for the lost of your son. I can not imagine anything worse than loosing a child. God be with you and your wife as this lost is unbearable I am sure.
